LS Wang is currently a Master's Graduate Student in the Digital Design and Manufacturing Lab in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The Ohio State University. He received his B.S in Mechanical Engineering from WVU Institute of Technology.
He is currently working on the parametric redesign of structural thin walled frames driven by topology optimization. In this project, LS:
- Automated the geometry creation in CATIA.
- Developed initialization algorithm to initialize predefined cross-sections into design space boundaries.
- Developed software to facilitate the data exchange between CATIA V5 files and programs used in the DDML.
